DVD Discography (PDFs)

Why do the episodes appear to be out of order on the DVDs? Well, Universal Studios has placed the episodes in order of their original airing. By watching the episodes in the production order you will be watching them in the order they were intended to be watched. Download the correct DVD guides here:

Sliders | Dual-Dimension Edition: The First and Second Seasons
Sliders | The Third Season
Sliders | The Fourth Season

Thank you so much for creating these lists- to be able to watch the episodes IN ORDER was amazing! After all of these years, to be able to go back and watch the episodes as they were meant to be watched, really made viewing the DVD’s that much better. Anybody like me who picked up the Season DVD’s or Online (theyre available free online now, post here to find out where!), revisiting the Sliders series, owes it to themselves to view by these lists. Since the show was originally aired out of production order, viewing by these lists will provide you with much more continuity and a better experience with one of the best television shows of the 1990’s! Thank you for creating and posting these Episode Production Order lists for us!!!! :D

I vaguely remembered watching this show when I was younger and I remember liking it but couldn’t really remember the details of the show so I am now watching the DVDs. until now I have been watching them in order by DVD. I am loving it and am almost done with season two, but some things irk me a lot. Take “Love Gods” where two people and a van slid with them, but so far, it doesn’t say what happened to the other two people that slid. Same thing with El Sid. Sid’s girlfriend slids at the end but then isn’t mentioned again.

Atleast in “Luck of the Draw” when the guy slids with them they mention him in the next episode and say that he ran off after healing Quinn’s bullet wound.

Are people sliding with them then just disappearing without giving the audience the closure of what happened to them, what kind of world did they stay on etc. a trend in all five seasons or just the first two?

I’m liking the site by the way. I am now going to start watching them by production order instead of air date, thanks for the guide!

Hi James, thanks for stopping in! I’m glad you are enjoying the site.

Yeah that was a disadvantage to the series by not following up with what happened to those they took along. Stronger continuity would have made the seasons even better. As far as I remember for seasons 3 and 4 they don’t really take that many with them, or if they do they resolve it within the episode itself. I haven’t kept up much with the fifth season, I will hopefully if the DVD is released.

I will tell you as you probably already know, most people feel the series really drops off after the second season. However in my opinion it is much more likable than the shows that are on now. I encourage you to watch all the seasons. There’s some tid bits that connect back to the first two seasons including the last three. I think seasons four is pretty strong, it stays away from the season three’s movie ripoffs and tries to get back on board.
